In the villa of Odeon Richmond the spiritual headquarters of David Bowie Australia and New Zealand 5 DAZE OF BOWIE FESTIVAL 7 – 11 January 2026 Odeon Richmond in association with Bowie Downunder (BDU) proudly present our 2nd annual '5 Daze of Bowie' Festival celebrating the life, music, art and genius of David Bowie. We invite you to join us in celebrating Bowie's 79th birthday, the 10th anniversary of his remarkable final album '★' along with the 50th anniversaries of both 'Station to Station' and his official movie debut in 'The Man Who Fell to Earth'. Let's also come together to honour the world's loss of his singular talent, 10 years hence. Over the course of the five days, step through our gallery of art and artefacts. These include original works by Bowie, promotional material, signed albums, original photos and prized items from personal collections along with an extensive display of memorabilia. Unique live performance highlights include some of Australia's most revered artists: * 7 Jan - 'Sun Machine' Festival and Exhibition Grand Opening meet the exhibitors, DJs spinning all things sound and vision Bowie and related * 8 Jan - 'Bowie Eternal', Bowie's birthday celebration with Ashley Naylor (Even, The Church, Paul Kelly, RocKwiz) * 9 Jan - The Bowie Project jazz interpretations of both familiar and deep cuts of Bowie's catalogue * 10 Jan - Gala 'Bowie Ball' with The Thin White Ukes presenting their universally unqiue interpretations of Bowie, 10 years after their thrilling debut performance at the 'David Bowie Is' exhibition at ACMI * 11 Jan - Beka Baker showcases music by Bowie and his friends. Festival events include: discussion panels, Bowie Trivia Quiz, BowieOke, Bowie BBQ, films, videos, our renowned DJs and dedicated listening sessions of the rare 5.1 surround sound mix of 'Station to Station'. Saturday night's Gala 'Bowie Ball' encourages everyone to express their individuality by dressing up as to how Bowie has inspired you. There will be prizes for the best dressed.
