The inimitable Grace Woodroofe was in the house to christen the Odeon stage with a batch of brand new unreleased songs and took us on a very personal journey, with an exceptionally vulnerable and impassioned performance, that left everyone quite stunned. To give you a taste of what we experienced, here is 'H', a song she penned about her earliest and most ardent supporter, Heath Ledger, shortly after he passed.

'H' ~ Grace Woodroofe
My dad wrote four words on a tiny piece of paper
These are the stages you'll go through
He said shock, anger and deep sadness
In time acceptance will come too
Well I wish I could fast forward the time
Or for that matter
Rewind
Though you said that time was blind
Now you're in a place
That only exists in my mind
And I have this image of you leaning out the window
Your lungs encapsulating smoke
I would give anything to smell your cigarettes burning
Your words were passive when you spoke
I feel you with me all the time
Your guiding hands lead mine
But I miss the stories that you'd share
And the knitted garments that you always used to wear
I'm wearing nothing but your love
I can honestly say, that I think about you every day and
I have this image of you leaning out the window
Your lungs encapsulating smoke
I would give anything to smell your cigarettes burning
Your words were passive when you spoke
Ooo ooo ooo oo
Ooo ooo ooo oo
This house is empty
The shelves are bare
Your presence felt but you're not there
I glance where you sit, I mean
Where you sat
I'm still readjusting, still getting used to that
Though you won't show up at my door
Wherever you are I hope you find what you were searching for
Ooo ooo ooo oo
Ooo ooo ooo oo
Ooo ooo ooo oo
Ooo ooo ooo oo
Ooo ooo ooo oo
